Newnan High School

$2,500 Through our general grants process, a grant was made to the Newnan High School Drama Department from the Thomas McKeehan Fund. The grant was made to allow Grammy Award–winning artist Gary Morris to conduct a Master Class for the cast of “Les Miserables” to assist in their upcoming production of the Broadway musical. Mr. Morris was the first American to play the lead role of Jean Valjean.

 

Salvation Army – Newnan

$2,114 Fill The Stocking – Each year, in partnership with The Newnan Times-Herald, our community’s citizens make donations to support local charities during the holiday season.

Toys For Tots

CLICK

$600 Through our general grants process, CLICK was awarded a grant for the Literacy In Schools Program, which was a partnership with Coweta FERST Foundation, Evans Middle School, Smokey Road Middle School, Atkinson Elementary School and Newnan High School.

 

Perpetual Community Resource Center

$1,000 Through our general grants process, a grant was given to support the community Soup Kitchen.

 

CORRAL

$2,100 General Operating – through a generous donation from an individual Donor Advised Fund.

 

Boys and Girls Club – Newnan/Coweta

$2,000 The Coweta Community Foundation awarded a grant for the “Lit Bit” program at the Newnan/Coweta Boys and Girls Club to go toward tablets for the children to use. The Lit Bit program has already been successful, as they have seen a 32 percent increase in literacy for those children who have had access to tablets.
