December 2007: Recently Bob and Millie Coggin of Newnan established the Coggin Family donor advised fund through the Coweta Community Foundation to facilitate their philanthropic giving in the community. The Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) Resources Private Foundation established a fund through the Coweta Community Foundation that will allow them to provide grants to many charitable causes in Coweta County.| Read Article |

July 2007: The Foundation recently made a grant through its public safety fund to aid in the purchase of a trailer that will provide additional classroom space at the Newnan-Coweta Public Safety Training Facility.| Read Article |

June 2007: Public Safety Luncheon | For the past nine years, our community has hosted a Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon to honor those men and women who are dedicated to keeping us safe and aiding us in times of distress. These men and women work for us days and nights, weekends and holidays, and are always on call and ready to help when the need arises. Each of us, whether in our personal lives or in our business endeavors, has needed help from some member of the public safety agencies. This luncheon is an opportunity for us to say thank you for the jobs these individuals do in serving and protecting us, often putting their own lives at risk. This year’s luncheon was held Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Coweta Fairgrounds and fed over 400 people.
